The site is on the edge of Truro, which is the administrative and commercial centre for Cornwall. It is 28 miles east of Penzance, 11 miles north of Falmouth and 14 miles west of St Austell.
The proposed development is for 89,000 Sq Ft of mixed retail space and outline planning permission has already been secured for the site.
An application has now been submitted for Reserved Matters for the development of the Hendra site at Threemilestone for retail and community use. This application seeks consent for the design and layout of the scheme following the grant on appeal of outline consent in October 2016.
Commitments to the scheme have been secured from Aldi, Smyth’s Toy Superstores and Go Outdoors! Negotiations with other national retailers are currently taking place for the remaining space.
This project represents an investment of more than £30 million in Truro and will create more than 200 new jobs for local people.

Subject to the grant of Reserved Matters consent, it is expected that work will start on site as soon as possible in 2018.
